One of the fashion capitals of the world - a mecca for designers. Of course we needed to stop by on our way to Como. Here you find boutiques for  Armani, Bottega Veneta, Canali, Dolce & Gabbana, Moschino, to name a few. One must see theGalleria Vittorio Emanuele II to see the luxurious shops, restaurants and bars and the beautiful glass dome. There are many tourists here and in the Piazza del Duomo; a piazza filled with people, pigeons, and persistent vendors selling fidget spinners. Once you escape the piazza and slip into the magnificent Duomo you can experience the culture and art of Milan.

Tired and jet lagged, we found a wonderful restaurant with outdoor seating, Casa di Lodi, and settled right into the Italian life! We found the Navigli Grande canal. What a great discovery, a perfect spot for enjoying the atmosphere of the canal and watching the neighborhood wander by, looking at the small shops and stopping for gelato. Next time we visit it will be for the famous Fashion Week for inspiration.
