We travelled to Northern Italy to meet with our Italian tie manufacturer as well as a small cotton cloth producer in the area. One with its roots in the silk industry producing quality ties, scarves, and silk fabric for some of the biggest international fashion houses and luxury brands using modern weaving techniques to produce exquisite silk and fine products. The other, using techniques and looms that have been passed down through the family from generation to generation resulting in beautiful, luxuriously soft cotton fabric perfect for the highest quality men’s dress shirt. The photo shows the fantastic colored thread used to create the designs for the cotton cloth.
We spent some time with the tie manufacturer to meet and talk with the artisans who created and made our ties; so much attention to detail and extreme care to sew perfect ties and pocket squares. We viewed their collection of fabrics, getting excited to design and produce more ties from our designer’s ideas and sketches. The day was definitely a day filled with education and excitement to see all of the opportunities in front of us. We can’t say thank you enough to the team who supported us through our first edition of ties.
